March 20, 1966 – April 22, 2010


On Thursday, April 22, 2010, peacefully in her sleep, Kristin Marie "Babe" Hickey-Pikalek of Waukesha was called home to God.

Kristin was born in Waukesha on March 20, 1966, to Donna Rae Yaeger-Hickey and Lawrence P. Hickey. She will be deeply missed by her husband and friend of 24 years, Wayne Pikalek, and their beautiful 4-year-old daughter, Dannielle Donna; father, Lawrence Hickey; sister, Roxanne Hickey-Olson and children Nicole (husband Brian), Angela (Jonathan), and Alexander; brother, the Rev. Timothy Diedrich/Hickey (wife Rebecca); brother, Kevin Hickey (wife Amanda) and children Stephanie, Tammie (daughter Lyric), Tristin, and stepchildren Miranda and Collin; sister, Leanne Hickey-Klingbiel and children Steven and Jarod.

Kristin was preceded in death by her mother, Donna Rae, on April 19, 1995. Kristin will forever be remembered for her amazing dedication as a truly loving wife and mother.

A celebration of her life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 1, 2010, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church located at 424 Hyde Park Avenue in Waukesha, WI 53188 until the 3 p.m. memorial service.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been set up for Kristin’s daughter, Dannielle Donna Pikalek, at Waukesha State Bank – donations made payable to "Dannielle Donna Pikalek Memorial Fund."
