Avis
C. McKenzie of North Prairie entered God’s kingdom at her residence
surrounded by her family Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2010. She was 79.
Avis was born in Hannibal on April 11, 1931, the daughter of Robert and
Ivan (nee Williams) Morris.
She was a graduate of Waukesha High School.
In 1949, she married John "Bill" McKenzie at North Prairie
United Methodist Church.
Avis, along with her husband, Bill, owned Bill’s Service in North
Prairie. She was a member of the North Prairie Fire Department Women’s
Auxiliary, a former bus driver for Dousman Transport and a member and
reader of the First Church of Christ Scientist-Waukesha.
She was the beloved wife of John "Bill"; loving mother of Terry
(Brenda), Jane (Mark) Boebel, Jean (Jerry) Pierzchalski, Lori (Brett)
Hilmer and Tracy (Steven) Bodnaruk; cherished grandma of Jeff, Jackie,
Jarrod, Cassy, Corey, Zachary, Heather, Rebecca, Faith, Lauren and
MacKenzie; dearest great-grandma of Jackson, Adison, Emerson, Torri and
Kylie; and the fond sister of Dale (Colleen) Morris. She is further
survived by other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Lynn Reddick; and a
brother, Arley Morris.
Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. until the 7 p.m. funeral service
Friday, Aug. 6, at Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home, 315 Main St.
(Highway ES), Mukwonago. The Rev. Bonnie Bell and Pat Nordentoft will be
the officiants. Interment will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 7, at
North Prairie Cemetery. Please meet at the cemetery.

Maple Ave., Waukesha, WI 53186, are appreciated.
