Shirley
A. Lawrence of Dousman died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2010, at Three Pillars
Masonic Center for Health & Rehab in Dousman at the age of 82. She was
born Nov. 28, 1927, in Waukesha, the daughter of Frank and Florence (nee
Cabet) Koestler.
Shirley was a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. On May 12,
1947, she married Michael Lawrence in Waukesha. She loved to play bingo
and enjoyed going to Potawatomi Bingo Casino. She loved traveling with her
husband to their house in Keshena. She was an avid Packers fan and
especially liked Brett Favre. She really enjoyed spending time with her
family and friends.
She will be sadly missed by her children, Ronald (Sue) Lawrence of
Waukesha and Roxanne (Curt) Christiansen of Dousman. She was the dear
grandmother of Brian Lawrence of Waukesha, Michelle (Jamie) Strasser of
Waukesha, Curt (Amanda) Christiansen of Ixonia, Justin Christiansen of
Dousman and Brenda Lawrence of Waukesha, and great-grandmother of Jeremy,
Cashmir, Brian, Patrick and Samantha. She is further survived by her
brother, Richard (Kay) Koestler of Waukesha, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael, on Aug. 3, 2006; and
her son, Robert Lawrence, in May 2005.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the 7 p.m. funeral service
Saturday, Aug. 7, at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave.,
Waukesha. The Rev. Bill Key will preside.
