Bruno
Wendl of the town of Delafield passed away in the early morning hours of
Thursday, Aug. 12, 2010, following a brief illness. He was surrounded by
family.
Bruno was born in Teslic, Yugoslavia, on Nov. 4, 1934, a son of Rudolf and
Rosalia Amalia (Duller) Wendl. He immigrated to the United States in 1956
and was employed as a manufacturer of high speed steel and carbide tools.
Bruno started out at Severance Tool Co. in Saginaw, Mich., and it was in
the Saginaw area that he met and married Naomi Mae (Hunt). After
relocating to the Waukesha area, Bruno later worked for Eversharp Tool in
Wales, and then became a partner in Carbide Grinding Co., from which he
retired. Bruno was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hartland. He
was an avid fisherman, a soccer enthusiast and enjoyed coin and stamp
collecting; however his greatest joy was his family. He will be deeply
missed.
Bruno is survived by his beloved wife of almost 49 years, Naomi; his
daughters, Monica (Gregg) Umbs of Waukesha and Melody (James) Pratt of
Fort Hood, Texas; and his mother, Rosalia Wendl of Vienna, Austria. He
will also be remembered by his grandchildren, Nikki, Courtney, Lucas,
Samantha, Victoria and Jacob. Bruno also leaves his brothers, Alois
(Annie) Wendl and Hans (Maria) Wendl, all of Vienna; his sisters, Kathe
Wendl and Resi (Pepi) Sigl of Vienna, and Monica (Rudi) Glowacki of Baden,
Austria; as well as many other loving extended family members.
Bruno was preceded in death by his father, Rudolf; and a sister, Marichen
Wendl.
