Betty May Browne (nee Goralski)

Betty May Browne (nee Goralski) of Waukesha
passed away peacefully at Waukesha Springs on Saturday, Aug. 14, 2010. She
was born Feb. 25, 1921, the daughter of Julius W. and Laura (nee
Schnitzler) Goralski. Betty attended Waukesha High School, graduating in
January 1939. She married Thomas H. Browne in May 1942. Betty loved to
travel, day trips, weekends and tours; she enjoyed the casinos and playing
cards. Betty was a night receptionist at the Avalon Manor for 27 years,
retiring in May 1997. Betty was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic
Church, Waukesha.
Betty is survived by her sons, Thomas W. (Kathy) Browne of Old Town, Fla.,
John J. (Paula) Browne of Dunedin, Fla., and Jeffrey S. Browne of New
York; and grandchildren, Thomas D. (Megan) Browne of Portland, Ore., James
P. Browne of Asheville, N.C., and Steven of Dunedin, Fla. Betty is further
survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas; sons, David and James;
and her parents.
