Mary Jo ‘Jo’ Long
Sept. 30, 1950 – Aug. 14, 2010
Mary Jo "Jo" Long (nee Jankowski) was born to eternal life on
Saturday Aug. 14, 2010, at the age of 59.
She was the beloved wife of Bob Long, the devoted mom of Jacque (Mike)
English and Katy Long (Levi Giovanetto). Jo was the cherished daughter of
Verneda (Bernard) Roussel and the late Raymond G. Jankowski, the dear
sister of Ray (Jan) Jankowski, Sue (Bob) Flesch and Linda (John) Flatley.
Jo will also be missed by other relatives, many friends, her dog Murphy,
grand puppies Copper and Kaz. She was preceded in death by her loving dog
Tonka.
Jo was very active in the Waukesha deaf community and was a longtime
interpreter for the Waukesha school system. She was also a talented
painter and had a love for animals. Jo will also be fondly remembered for
her infectious smile. She was a "mom" to all who knew her.
A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the 1
p.m. Mass of Christian burial on Friday, Aug. 20, 2010, at St. William
Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. Private interment to be
held at Highland Memorial Park following Mass. In lieu of flowers,
memorials to the Polycystic Kidney Disease Foundation are appreciated, (http://www.pkdcure.org/JOLONG).
