Ella Staven (nee Meinen), longtime resident of Mukwonago, passed away Thursday, Aug. 19, 2010, at the home of her daughter, JoAnn, in Mukwonago with family by her side. She was born June 18, 1923, to Fred and Frida Meinen. She was employed at Seaquist Closures (Aptar) in Mukwonago for 13 years before retiring.
She was loved and will be dearly missed by many survivors including her daughters, Diane (Gerald) Gilson, Delaine (Monte) Whiteaker, Delores (Forest) Meeks, and JoAnn (Wayne) Barkley, all from Mukwonago; her brother, Raymond (Betty) of Lake Geneva; sister, Alma Stahl of Mukwonago; as well as 20 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Clarence Hilmer Staven; sister, Erna Ortman; brothers, Fred, Emil, Ernie and Frank Meinen; granddaughter, Tina Marie Gilson; and friend and father of her children, Hilmer H. Staven.
Visitation will be held Monday, Aug. 23, at 10 a.m. at Schmidt and Bartelt Funeral Home, 315 Main St., Mukwonago. Services at 12 p.m. with Pastor Wayne Meier officiating. Burial to follow at Oak Knoll Cemetery in Mukwonago.
