Janice L. Horvat of Mukwonago entered God’s kingdom Thursday, Aug. 19, 2010, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. She was 61 years old.

Janice was born June 20, 1949, in Highland Park, Ill., the daughter of Edmund and Nellie (nee Hunter) Mathe.

On Oct. 28, 1967, she married Stephen R. Horvat in Milwaukee.

Janice will always be remembered for her sense of humor. Her caring and giving of herself will be sadly missed.

Survivors include her husband, Stephen Sr.; her children, Stephen Jr. (Theresa Newbury), Suzanne Wick, Scott (Anna) and Jason (special daughter Vicki Nelson); her grandchildren, Seth, Logan, Allison, Chandler, Elizabeth, Zoe and Elija; her mother, Nellie Mathe; a twin sister, Judy; a brother, David (Geri) Mathe; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Edmund Mathe, and a sister, Linda Howard.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the 7 p.m. memorial service Friday, Aug. 27, at Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home, 315 Main St. (Highway ES), Mukwonago.
