Violet H. "Vi" Haroldson, 89, was born to eternal life Sunday, Aug. 22, 2010, at Lutheran Homes of Oconomowoc. Vi was born March 29,1921, to Arthur Bunn and Helen Marose in Waukesha. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert Haroldson and was a longtime resident of Oconomowoc.

Violet was a registered nurse and spent her career at Waukesha Memorial Hospital, Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital, Summit Hospital and Lutheran Homes of Oconomowoc. She retired from Shorehaven in 1986. Violet was an active and lifelong Christian with a deep faith. She was an original member of Westbrook Church in Hartland. Violet was an avid reader, she enjoyed fishing with her husband, watching the Cubs play, listening to opera and playing cards, among numerous other interests.

Violet was the loving mother of Margaret (Brian) Holland, Laurie (Jeff) Natzke and Nancy Peters; grandmother of Robert Zeck, Ronda (Ed) de Bie, Marc Leitner, Sonja (Chris) Schultz and Lindsy (Craig) Sell; and great-grandmother of Randi, Dylan, Cierra, Michaela, Devon, Carter and Nicholas. She is further survived by cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends within the Lake Country community.

Friends may visit from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25, at Schmidt & Bartelt Notbohm-Kreutzmann Funeral Home, 121 S. Cross St., Oconomowoc. Visitation continues from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service Thursday, Aug. 26, at Westbrook Church, 1100 Highway 83, Hartland. Lunch will be served following the services. Private burial will be at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Pewaukee.
