Walter W. Zahn Jr. of Sullivan passed away Saturday, Aug. 21, 2010, at Fort Atkinson Memorial Hospital at the age of 70.

He was born Dec. 11, 1939, in Oconomowoc, to Walter F. and Ethel Zahn. Walter spent many years as a paper carrier for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and doing many odd jobs for Sullivan businesses. He also worked several years for Opportunities Inc. in Fort Atkinson. He participated in pool and dartball leagues in his earlier years. Walter was a participant in Special Olympics and enjoyed attending Reflections Day Care in Fort Atkinson.

Walter is survived by his brother, Donald (Louella) Zahn; nephews, Shane (Amy) Zahn, Travis (Marisa) Zahn, David (Rebecca) Coss and Mark Coss; and a niece, Sally (Kevin) Heckert.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Phyllis Coss; and a niece, Patricia Coss.

Friends may visit from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service today, Aug. 24, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, W405 Highway 18, Sullivan, WI 53178. Final rest will be in St. John’s Cemetery. Memorials to the church are appreciated.
