James C. ‘Bubba’ Wegner

June 1 1934 – Aug. 21, 2010

James C. "Bubba" Wegner of Delafield joined the Lord on Saturday, Aug. 21, 2010, at the age of 76.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Marie (nee Geelan). He was the devoted dad of Diane Fones, Denise (Alan) Wilcox, Robin Wegner and Leonard (Sue) Wegner; proud grandpa of 12 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; and the dear brother of Bernice, Lucille, Maryann and Norman.

James was a longtime employee of Briggs & Stratton. He lived for his family and the welfare of others, which he expressed as "Bubba" the Shrine Clown. James loved yard work, dancing, fishing and ceramics.

The family would like to thank all the caregivers of Vitas Hospice and the fourth floor at Waukesha Memorial Hospital.

A celebration of James’ life will be held from 5 p.m. until the 7 p.m. service Thursday, Aug. 26, at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 380 W. Bluemound Road (at highways J and JJ, four blocks south of Interstate 94), Waukesha.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family to be donated to the Junior Diabetes Research Foundation in honor of his great-grandaughter, McKena Stocks.
