Lorraine R. Caracci, a lifelong resident of Waukesha, died Thursday, Aug. 19, 2010, surrounded by her family at the age of 82. Lorraine was born Oct. 19, 1927, the daughter of Archibald and Ruth (nee Ralph) Smith.

On June 4, 1949, Lorraine married the love of her life, Dominic (Porky) Caracci. Lorraine was a member of St. William Catholic Church in Waukesha. She enjoyed knitting, sewing and cooking. She also loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Lorraine was a special woman, who always gave of herself in a loving, caring way.

Lorraine will be dearly missed by her husband, Dominic (Porky); her children, Michael Caracci, Holly (Jerry) Wick, Patrick (Kobi) Caracci, Connie (Peter) Gilsinger and Tina (Maury) Pressburger; her grandchildren, Anthony (Michelle), Angela (Ronn), Josh (Stephanie), Jim, Jordan, Abigail, Taylor, Riley, Ryan, Korey, Eli, Leeya and Asher; and her great-grandchildren, Dominic, Sophia and Owen. Lorraine is further survived by other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Raymond and James.

Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the 4 p.m. memorial service Sunday, Aug. 29, at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha.
