Joyce E. Cichon (nee Soucek)
May 27, 1927 – Aug. 29, 2010
Joyce E. Cichon (nee Soucek) of Waukesha passed away Sunday, Aug. 29,
2010, at LindenGrove surrounded by family.
Joyce was born in Athens on May 27, 1927, a daughter of the late James and
Ida (Leonard) Soucek. She was married to Alois Cichon and together they
raised four children. Joyce was an active 4-H leader in earlier years and
was also involved with the Waukesha County Homemakers as well as with the
Veterans of Foreign Wars Soat-Vergenz Post 721.
She is survived by her children, Sherry (Tim) Sullivan of Waukesha, Sandra
(Marty) Persky of Lincolnwood, Ill., Sharla Wong of Maryland and Michael
Cichon of Milwaukee; her grandchildren, Kelly (Eric Anderson) Sullivan,
Sean (Jessica) Sullivan, Susan (Todd Hyman) Persky, David Persky and Amber
(Chance) Taylor; her great-grandchildren, Alex, Barrett, Cole, Ian, Levi,
William, Michael; and other relatives and friends.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, sisters and her husband, Alois.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the 10:30 a.m. funeral
service Wednesday, Sept. 1, at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral
Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. The Rev. Howard Haase will be
officiating.
Entombment will immediately follow at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery,
Waukesha. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to a charity of
your choice in Joyce’s name. Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral
