Mary Lou DiUlio, 88, of Waukesha, passed away peacefully Friday, Aug. 27, 2010, at Wheaton Franciscan Woods Rehabilitation Center in Brookfield.

The former Mary Lou Pozega was born April 15, 1922, in Bessemer, Mich. She moved to Waukesha in 1963, where she worked in retail sales at the Boston Store in Brookfield for many years.

She was the beloved mother of Paulette (Thomas) Weber of West Bend and Joseph DiUlio of Oak Park, Ill.; proud grandmother of Jodene (Edward) Renda of Pittsburgh and Jay (Shelley) Weber of Slinger; great-grandmother of Andrew, Nicholas, Max and Madison; sister of Paul (Marlys) Pozega of Lansing, Mich., Michael (Susan) Pozega of Backus, Minn., and Theresa Amich of Kenosha; and sister-in-law of Janet Pozega of Ironwood, Mich. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, friends and wonderful neighbors in Waukesha.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; a brother, Robert (Doc) Pozega; a sister, Katherine (Robert) Harritt; a brother, John; and a sister, Rose who passed away in childhood.

A Mass of Christian burial was held at 11 a.m. today, Aug. 31, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Hurley, with the Rev. Michael Hayden officiating. Rite of committal and interment followed in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hurley. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Veterans of Foreign Wars Foundation and/or the Hurley School District.
