Virgil ‘Virg’ Emery

Virgil
"Virg" Emery of Waukesha died peacefully with his family by his
side Friday, Aug. 27, 2010, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at age 75.
Virgil was born June 30, 1935, a son of John and Grace Emery.
Virgil married the love of his life, Donna (Fuchs), on Nov. 19, 1960. He
was a member of the Evangelical & Reformed United Church of Christ,
Waukesha, where he served as an usher for many years. He was also a member
of the Waukesha Eagles Club. Virgil proudly served his country in the U.S.
Naval Air Corps. He worked at International Harvester for 31 years and
Biebels Hardware for more than six years. Virg enjoyed fishing, gardening
and bowling, and he loved nature and spending time with his family on
vacation.
Virgil will be dearly missed by his wife of 50 years, Donna; children,
Diana (Dennis) Mader of Waukesha, Roger (Cindy) Emery of Muskego and Lisa
(Jon Schupmann) Emery of New Berlin; grandchildren, Peter Mader, Ryan
Mader, Andrea Mader and Austin Emery; step-grandchildren, Josh, Cody and
Tyler; sisters, Georgina Mullikin of Prairie du Chein, Janice Losinski of
Plover and Cora (Ken) Nelson of Waunakee; and brothers, Lavon C. Emery of
Plover, the late John L. (Betty) Emery of Madison and Richard L. (Shirley)
Emery of Wauzeka. Virgil is further survived by nieces, nephews, other
relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son,
Jeffrey A. Emery; and a granddaughter, Melissa Christine Mader.
Visitation will be held from from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m., with an Eagles Club
service at 6 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 1, at Cesarz, Charapata &
Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. Visitation
continues from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service Thursday, Sept.
2, at the Evangelical & Reformed United Church of Christ, 413
Wisconsin Ave., Waukesha, WI 53186. The Rev. James Gorman will be
officiating. Burial with military honors will immediately follow the
service at Prairie Home Cemetery, Waukesha.
