Darol D. Carter
Nov. 4, 1943 – Nov. 28, 2010
Darol D. Carter of Eagle passed away at his home Sunday, Nov. 28, 2010.
He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Roseanne; daughters, Cynthia Ulett
of Lees Summit, Mo., and Diana (Corey) Conder of Jackson, Tenn.; stepsons,
Ivan (Jessica) Abel of Perry, Iowa, and Luther (Jennie) Abel of Des
Moines, Iowa; grandchildren, Olivia and Emily Winans and Hunter and Ella
Abel; his mother, Rose Jane Carter of Altoona, Iowa; and his siblings,
Larry Carter, Ronnie (Janet) Carter, Kathy (Rick) Berry, Ethel Carter and
Carolyn (Vaughn) Bell. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews and
friends.
Darol was preceded in death by his first wife of 26 years, Susan Carter;
his father, Kenneth A. Carter; and his brother, Keith Carter.
Darol proudly served his country with the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He
worked for A&A Manufacturing as a quality manager. He was a member of
Countryside Christian Church in Brookfield and the National Council
Corvette Clubs, Inc., Midwest Region. Darol was also a Grade 7 referee
with the U.S. Soccer Federation and WIAA. He was a soccer referee since
1975.
Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. memorial service
Saturday, Dec. 4, at Countryside Christian Church, 16650 W. Greenfield
Ave., Brookfield. The Rev. Rod Lindsay will officiate. Burial will take
place Saturday, Dec. 11, in Altoona, Iowa.
