WAUKESHA
Leona M. Stoltz
July 17, 1915 – Nov. 30, 2010
"An angel among us"
Leona M. Stoltz of Waukesha passed away peacefully Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010,
at Waukesha Springs Health Center at the age of 95.
She was the beloved wife of Edward J. Stoltz, having married in Madison in
1938. In earlier years, Leona worked as a stenographer, both at the state
Capitol and for the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture.
Leona was a longtime member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, St. Joseph’s
Christian Women’s Club, the Waukesha Women’s Club, bridge groups and
more. She loved people and life, not to mention swimming, playing the
piano, traveling here and abroad and cooking her "delicious
roasts" for family and friends – a kind person to all.
Her son Jack and all her siblings preceded her in death.
Leona will be sadly missed by her husband, Ed; sons, Richard (Celia Carr)
of Washington Island, Mark and Roger (Dawn Kline); and a daughter, Alice
("Ali") (George) Wolske of Waukesha. She was the dear
grandmother of Eric, Kurt, Kevin and Alicia Stoltz and Derek Wolske. Ella,
Griffin and Sadie Stoltz were her great-grandchildren. She is further
survived by many other relatives and friends.
Special thanks, given her care, to the entire second floor staff at
Waukesha Springs Health Center, especially Donna, Jackie and hospice nurse
Shelly.
If you care to make any donations, please make them to the Food Pantry of
Waukesha County or The Salvation Army.
Visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral Mass
at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, at St. Joseph’s Church in Waukesha, 822
N. East Ave. The Rev. Bill Key will preside.
Church and Chapel Rudolph-Larsen Bros. Funeral Home is serving the family.
