Don Mericle

Don Mericle, 73, of Oconomowoc, passed away Friday, Dec. 3, 2010.
Don was a tenderhearted, loving individual. He was proud of his enrollment
in the U.S. Army and served his country. He took honor in being a Mason at
the Masonic Lodge in Dousman. He was an electrician by trade, but many
would recognize him by his love for history, antiques and preserving them.
He cared for nature and all of its creatures. He was a devoted husband and
father, and he was proud of his family. Don was a special man who will be
deeply missed by all who loved him.
Don is survived by his wife, Christina (nee Swanson); children, Nathaniel
Mericle, Jeremy (significant other Janelle Crawford) Mericle and Sarah
Mericle; aunt, Dorothy Blesch; cousin, Stanley Blesch; along with many
other relatives and friends.
Don was preceded in death by his father, Lon Mericle; mother, Frieda (nee
Schuster) Mericle; and brother, Douglas Mericle.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral service
Wednesday, Dec. 8, at Emmanuel United Church of Christ, 36821 Sunset
Drive, Dousman. Burial will follow the service at Summit Cemetery.
