Eleanore Palmer (nee Riley)

Eleanore Palmer (nee Riley) of Waukesha passed away peacefully Thursday, Dec. 9, 2010, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 85. Eleanore was born July 9, 1925, in Fox Lake, the daughter of John and Frieda (Grainger) Riley.
She married Gordon E. Palmer on June 1, 1946. She was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church and worked as a crossing guard for 23 years.
Eleanore will be dearly missed by her children, Roger (Andrea) Palmer of Waukesha and Rosemary Palmer of Waukesha; her grandchildren, Mari (Colin) Foster, Jason Palmer, Ryan Wojczak and Chris Wojczak; great-grandson, Jeremiah; brother, Verlyn (June) Riley; sisters-in-law, Joanne Riley and Carol Schaefer; and brothers-in-law, Lester Palmer and Donald (Joyce) Palmer. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Eleanore was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gordon E.; granddaughter, Nico Ann; and brothers, Merle, Robert, Donald and John Riley.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the noon funeral service Monday, Dec. 13, at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. Burial will take place privately.
