Alva "Allie" J. Sivak of Waukesha passed away peacefully with her family by her side Saturday, Dec. 11, 2010, at the age of 74. Allie was born Sept. 20, 1936, in Milwaukee, the daughter of Albert and Martha Opine.

She married the love of her life, Ron R. Sivak, on April 25, 1957. Allie was a member of St. William Catholic Church of Waukesha and worked for St. Luke’s Hospital as a pharmacy technician, retiring in 1997.

Allie will be dearly missed by her husband of 53 years, Ron; children, Brad Sivak of Rochester and Dawn Shelton of Oconto Falls; grandchildren, Bradley Jr. , Zachary, Austin and Cole; sister, Avis (Richard) Koepsel of Caledonia; sister-in-law, Lois Opine of New Berlin; and brothers in-law, Bud Engelbert of Milton and Roger Kramer of Texas. She is further survived by nieces, nephews and many friends.

Allie was preceded in death by her parents and six brothers and sisters, Owen, Jean, Audrey, Marlys, Neal and Noel.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 15, at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. Visitation continues from 9 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 16, at the funeral home, with a procession to St. William Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha, for Mass at 10:30 a.m. The Rev. Curt Frederick will officiate. Burial will be at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove.

In lieu of flowers, Masses in Allie’s name may be said or the family would like memorials donated to the American Lung Association of Wisconsin, 13100 Lisbon Road, Suite 700, Brookfield, WI 53005.
