Mamie Spadanuda of Waukesha died on Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2010, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 94. Mamie was born May 24, 1919, the daughter of Michael and Carmella (Maniaci) Sammarco in Milwaukee. Mamie was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Waukesha and had a passion for writing poems.

Mamie will be sadly missed by her children, Madalene (Milton) Morris of Helenville and Anthony "Tony" (Diane) Spadanuda of New Berlin; her son-inlaw, Terry Swenson of Mukwonago; her grandchildren, David, Mamie, Kenneth, Glenn, Christopher, Mark, Ryan, Michelle and Nicole; her great-grandchildren, Mariah, Sadie, Trevor, Lenaea, Stella, Logan, Corey and Lucas; and other relatives and friends.

She is preceded by her husband, Anthony, and her daughter, Carmella.

Visitation will be held from 2:30 p.m. until the 4:30 p.m. funeral service Friday, Dec. 17, at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. The Rev. Howard Haase will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Waukesha.
