Barbara
L. Ludwig, 57, of Novato, Calif., died Dec. 15, 2010, in California. There
will be no visitation or funeral services locally. Barbara was born Oct.
3, 1953, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Robert and Marilyn (Haering) Ludwig. She
grew up in the Waukesha area. Currently she worked for Community Homes and
Services as a clinical coordinator in Novato.
Survivors include her sister, Susan (John) Molski
of Wisconsin Rapids; a nephew, Ryan Ludwig; two greatnephews, Travis and
Christian Ludwig; Marcia (Ludwig) Gable of Friendship and many friends.
Barbara’s passion included immersion in outdoor
landscapes of all kinds, tent camping, driving long distances to dine at
New Mexican cafes and leisurely hanging out with wise and sensitive people
who loved to laugh and tell stories. As one friend described her,
"What a brilliant, brilliant woman with a huge heart."
Higgins Funeral Home, 715-423-4610, assisted the
family locally in Wisconsin Rapids.
