Joanne Fryk of Waukesha died unexpectedly Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010, at the age of 57 years.

Joanne was born Sept. 19, 1953, the daughter of Joe and Betty (Crotty) Liston in Evergreen Park, Ill. She was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Waukesha.

Joanne will be deeply missed by her husband, Jim, whom she married on June 10, 1972, in Wheeling, Ill.; her daughters, Jill (Jason) Cummings of Waukesha and Julia (Brad) Fryk Wichman of Hales Corners; her granddaughter, Catriona "Cat"; her sister, Mabe (Terry) O’Rourke of DeBary, Fla.; her brothers, Tom Liston of McHenry, Ill., and Joe (Carrie) Liston of Round Lake Heights, Ill.; her nieces, Diana O’Rourke and Jennifar (Michael) Evans; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her nephew, Matthew O’Rourke.

The memorial service for Joanne will be held at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22, at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 300 Carroll St., Waukesha, WI 53186, with the Rev. Gary Liedtke officiating. The visitation will be on Wednesday from 3:30 p.m. until the time of service at the church.
