BIG BEND

Mikel Joel Howard of Big Bend died peacefully on Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010, at his home surrounded by his family at the age of 42. He was born Nov. 4, 1968, the son of Albert and Shirley (nee Hubbard) Howard. He was a 1987 graduate of Waukesha South High School. On Feb. 11, 1995, he married Lynn Lamb at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Waukesha. He was currently a member at St. Joseph Parish in Big Bend and was the founder and president of MHR. Mikel never gave up easily on anyone or anything. He was a loving, dedicated and hardworking husband, father, son, brother and friend. Most of all he was the best father and friend ever.

Mikel will be deeply missed by his wife, Lynn, and their daughter, Calista Paige Howard of Big Bend; his parents, Albert and Shirley Howard of Waukesha; his brother, Mark Howard, and partner Doug Henderson of Connecticut; his mother and father-inlaw, Tom and Marlene Lamb of Waukesha; his brotherin-law, Richard (Ann) Lamb of Eagle; his sister-in-law, Tina Jackson of Waukesha; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many great friends. He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law Brian Lamb.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 28, at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. A vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Visitation will continue at 9:30 a.m. until the 10:30 a.m. funeral Mass on Wednesday, Dec. 29, at St. Joseph Parish, S89-W22650 Milwaukee Ave., Big Bend. The Rev. Dick Robinson and the Rev. Cyril Guise will co-celebrate. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated.
