Herbert ‘Herbie’ J. Hoenisch Jr.

Herbert "Herbie" J. Hoenisch Jr. of Waukesha died Sunday, Dec.
26, 2010, peacefully at home. Herbert was born Dec. 26, 1942, in Wausau,
the son of Herbert and Irene Hoenisch Sr.
He married the love of his life, Diana L. (nee
Kroeplin), on Jan. 25, 1964. Herbert worked at Generac/Briggs &
Stratton for more than 40 years as an engineer. As an engineer, he has
many U.S. patents. He was an avid golfer, enjoying it with family and
friends. Herbert was a carpenter and woodworker, starting with bowls and
moving up to fine furniture for his family. He loved spending time and
traveling with his family.
Herbert will be dearly missed by his wife of 47
years, Diana; children, Daniel Joseph (Kimberly) Hoenisch and Christine
Ann Hoenisch; grandchildren, Samantha (Alex) Lang and Lee "Kate"
Kathryn Hoenisch; and great-grandson, Riley Joseph Lang. He is further
survived by other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until the 7
p.m. memorial service Thursday, Dec. 30, at Cesarz, Charapata &
Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. The Rev. Pete
Peterson will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Herbert’s name
are appreciated to The Lustgarten Foundation, 1111 Stewart Ave., Bethpage,
NY 11714, for Pancreatic Cancer Research.
