Arthur ‘Shuffy’ Lamp Jr.

Arthur
“Shuffy” Lamp Jr. of the village of Genesee died Sunday, Jan. 31, 2010,
at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 80. He was born on March 28,
1929, in Waukesha, the son of Orlanda and Arthur Lamp Sr.
Shuffy served his country in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany during
the Korean War. On Feb. 21, 1953, he was united in marriage to Marjorie
Sievert in Waukesha. He was a longtime employee of Waukesha Motors
Works/Waukesha Dresser until his retirement. In his younger days, he
enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing fast pitch softball with his
brothers for Old Owl Tavern.
Shuffy will be deeply missed by his wife of almost 57 years, Marge Lamp;
his children, Ken (Diane) Lamp of Eagle, Linda Lamp of Mukwonago, and
John (fiancée Patricia Moore) Lamp of Palmyra; grandchildren, Nicole
(Drew Kramer) Lamp and Zachary (Sara) Lamp; great-grandchildren, Collin
and Jonah Lamp; siblings, Herman Lamp of California, Jeannette Lamp of
California, June Bralick of Waukesha, and Raymond (Kay) Lamp of
Watertown; and closest best friend, Patty Engler of Mukwonago. He was
preceded in death by his parents, brothers, David Lamp, Lawrence Lamp,
and Francis Lamp, and sister, Dorothy Haut.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, Feb. 4, 2010 from noon until the 2
p.m. funeral service at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave.,
Waukesha. Burial will immediately follow at Salem Cemetery in Wales. For
