Leola C. “Lee” Moncada

Oct. 28, 1923 – Feb. 6, 2010

Leola C. “Lee” Moncada of Waukesha entered into heaven surrounded by her loving family Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 86. Lee was born in Detroit on Oct. 28, 1923, a daughter of the late Edward and Anna May (Eldger) Barney.

She married Arnold Sr. on April 27, 1947. Lee raised her family in the Pewaukee and Waukesha areas. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.

Lee was the eternally devoted and beloved mother of Arnold (Sandria) Moncada Jr., Dee Dee (Peter) Griswold, Annie May (Frank) Martinez and Audrey (Danny) Powers. She will also be remembered by her grandchildren, Jamie, Tracy, Nikki, Jennie, Brenda, Justin, Natasha, Joseph and Jesse. Lee was also blessed with 20 greatgrandchildren, brothers, sisters, other relatives, friends and Arnold Moncada Sr.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, sisters and her beloved grandson, the late Richard Lee Moncada.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10, at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. A parish vigil will be held at 6:45 p.m. at the funeral home. Visitation continues Thursday, Feb. 11, from 9:30 a.m. until the 10:30 a.m. procession from the funeral home to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 822 N. East Ave. Waukesha, for the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian burial. The Rev. William Key will be officiating. Interment will immediately follow the Mass at Wisconsin Memorial Park, Brookfield.

The family would like to give special thanks to the second floor staff at Waukesha Memorial Hospital and also Dr. Adel B. Korkor for his many years of gentle and dedicated care for their mother.
