Burton W. “Burt” Boushek



Burton W. “Burt” Boushek, a longtime Waukesha resident, died Sunday, Feb. 7, 2010, at his home at the age of 85. He was born in Minnesota and served in the U.S. Army at the end of World War II.

On Nov. 26, 1949, Burt was united in marriage to Carol Byers in Fond du Lac; she preceded him in death in 2004. He worked for American Motors/Chrysler for many years until retirement. Burt will be fondly remembered as the ultimate Minnesota Vikings fan, a hard worker and a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

Burt will be deeply missed by his five children, Linda (John) Magerl of Woodstock, Ill., Sandy (Frank) Baldin of Kansas, Sharon (Jim) Steinhart of the town of Merton, Rick Boushek of Fond du Lac and Gary (Rose) Boushek of Glenview, Ill.; five grandchildren, Heather (Matthew) Moore, Melissa Swayze, Rebecca Swayze, Jacob Steinhart and Sean Steinhart; and two great-grandchildren, Michael and Nathan Moore.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the 10:30 a.m. funeral service Wednesday, Feb. 10, at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 3801 W. Morgan Ave., Milwaukee. Burial will immediately follow.
