Olga Nichols Mallone, 93, died late Thursday, Feb. 4, 2010, at her daughter’s condo near Tampa, Fla., after a short illness.

She was born Oct. 2, 1916, in Geneva, Ohio, to Frank and Mary (Luzum) Mraz.

Olga was a unique wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Always ready to help another, her quick wit, sparkle and gracious charm were endearing to all. She is remembered best for her strength, love of life and wonderful sense of humor. She enjoyed sports of all kinds, grew beautiful geraniums and made the best chocolate chip cookies and homemade pizza. She faced the physical challenges of recent years with quiet dignity and courage.

She was married to Glen D. Nichols for 40 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Helen; brothers, Al and Frank; her husband, Glen; and son, Chat.

She is survived by her daughters, Sandy (Robert) Leuty of Eau Claire and Cheryl (Dan) Sprenger of Yuba City, Calif.; eight grandchildren; 13 greatgrandchildren; and a former husband, Joseph Mallone.

Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until the service convenes at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, at Fleming & Billman Funeral Home, 323 S. Broadway, Geneva, Ohio, with the Rev. Robert Cunningham of the United Church officiating. Her final resting place will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
