Jean M. Smirl
Feb. 12, 1931 – Feb. 14, 2010
Jean M. Smirl of Waukesha died Sunday, Feb. 14,
2010, at the age of 79. Jean was born in Waukesha on Feb. 12, 1931, the
daughter of Herbert and Bertha Eales.
She was a member of St. Matthias Episcopal Church
in Waukesha. Jean volunteered for the Waukesha Service Club for many
years. She was an avid tennis player and traveled the world. Jean loved
Door County, where she made a second home. Her greatest joy was spending
time with her family and her grandchildren.
Jean will be dearly missed by her children, Ned Smirl, Todd Smirl, Holly (John) Wirth, Terry (TuAnh) Smirl and Jeffrey
(Antonio Orta-Taylor) Smirl; grandchildren, Sarah Beth, Christopher Ned,
Perry John and Bennett John; and a sister, Beverly White.
Jean was preceded in death by her loving husband,
Dr. Warren G. Smirl; her parents; and several siblings.
Visitation will be held will be held from 4 p.m.
to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 17, at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral
Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. A second visitation will be held
from 11 a.m. until the 11:30 a.m. service Thursday, Feb. 18, at St.
Matthias Episcopal Church, 111 E. Main St., Waukesha. The Rev. David
Simmons will be officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service at
Prairie Home Cemetery, Waukesha.
