Thomas ‘Tommy’ Michael Nimtz
Oct. 12, 1989 – Feb. 11, 2010
Thomas "Tommy" Michael Nimtz, 20, of Muskego, lost his lifelong battle with cystic fibrosis and passed peacefully from this life on earth Thursday, Feb. 11, 2010.
He is survived by his father, Timothy (Kathy) Nimtz of Muskego, and mother, Diane Nimtz of Solon, Ohio. He was the beloved brother of Tiffany and Benjamin and adored grandson of Mary Tymnick, Harry (MaryAnn) Nimtz and Larry Crusan. Tommy is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Tommy was born Oct. 12, 1989, in Waukesha. The doctors did not give him long to live, but he certainly proved them wrong. Although cut short by this terrible illness, Tommy led a happy, fulfilled life. He graduated from Waukesha South High School in 2008, where he was a member of the Blackshirts wrestling team and where he also developed a passion for the culinary arts.
Tommy’s family greatly appreciates the attention and compassionate care given to him by the staff of Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin and the Aurora Visiting Nurse Association of Wisconsin.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.
The family will receive friends from noon until the 3 p.m. funeral service Saturday, Feb. 27, at Hartson Funeral Home, 11111 W. Janesville Road, Hales Corners.
