Earl W. Kreitzmann

Earl W. Kreitzmann of Waukesha died on Friday, Jan. 1, 2010, at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in Union Grove, at the age of 84 years. Earl was born in Watertown on April 8, 1925, and married Dorothy Ann Klecker at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Watertown on April 23, 1949.

Earl proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy Submarine Force. He was a member of U.S. Submarine Veterans of WWII, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #721 of Waukesha and American Legion Pitterle-Beaudoin Post #189 of Watertown. Earl was an employee of Archie Ladwig Company and Stein Engineering.

Earl was preceded in death by Dorothy after almost 60 years of marriage on March 4, 2009.

He will be greatly missed by his children: Christine (Phillip) Wittig of Mukwonago, Stephen (Betsy) of Tacoma, Wash., Barbara (Michael) Gregware of Waukesha, Jim (LeeAnn) of Puyallup, Wash., and David of Prairie du Sac; his grandchildren, Rebecca (Brian) Michelsen, Melissa (Dan) Polley, Jeremy Wittig, Jessica (Nathan) McCormick, William, Michelle Gregware, Justin (Kelsie) Gregware, KaSandra (Brian) Reynolds, Aubrey, Krystal, Tanner and Emma; and his great-grandchildren, Leah, Blake Reynolds and John Thomas and Annmarie McCormick. Earl is also loved and survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian burial Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2010 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 2400 W. Highway 59, Waukesha. Private entombment will be at Wisconsin Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Wisconsin Veterans Home in Union Grove are requested by the family.
