Matthew "Ross" Mongin

Matthew "Ross" Mongin of Hartland, surrounded by his family, died on Thursday, Dec. 31, 2009 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 36. He was born Dec. 10, 1973 in Bloomington, Ind., the son of Matthew and Jane Mongin.

Ross graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh with a degree in marketing and information technology. He worked for several computer consulting groups traveling worldwide until settling at Harley-Davidson in Milwaukee in 2001. Upon his death, Ross was a lead project manager whose innovative ideas guided the transition from concept to implementation of Web-based business applications.

Ross will be sadly missed by the love of his life, his wife, Jennifer, whom he married on August 25, 2001; his children, Andrew, Kaitlin and Madeleine; his parents, Matt and Jane Mongin of Beavercreek, Ohio; his sister, Sarah (Chris) Figy of Chicago; and his brother, Shawn Mongin of Washington D.C. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The memorial Mass for Ross will be held at 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 8, 2010 at 5:00 p.m. at St. William Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. The Rev. Jason Lavann will officiate. The visitation will be from 3 p.m. Friday until the time of the 5 p.m. memorial Mass at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Mongin children, in care of Jennifer Mongin, would be appreciated.
