Frank J. Ostrowski

April 18, 1928 - Dec. 31, 2009

Frank J. Ostrowski passed into eternal life on Dec. 31, 2009, with his family by his side, at age 81.

Born in Pembine, Frank retired from the Waukesha school system, where he worked as a custodian at Waukesha South campus, before retiring from Hawthorne Elementary. He loved traveling the city, spending time at each restaurant enjoying the staff. He enjoyed spending special time at St. Joseph Catholic Church. His deep faith, his unshakable integrity, genuine warmth and his love of family have been his guiding principles his entire life.

Frank will be deeply missed by his surviving sister, Julie Lairson of Woodstock, Ill.; daughters, Sherrie Brauch and Paulette (Bruce) Fleischmann, Jaime (Brent) Best, Patrick (Lissette) Fleischmann, Andrew (Shanell) Fleischmann, Kory (Deanna) Fleischmann, Carrie (Jason) Torres, Katie (Ron) Kennedy, Rebecka (Jeff) Link, Scott Brauch Jr. and Roberta (John) Brauch. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.

A memorial gathering will be held from 10 a.m. until the noon memorial service Friday, Jan. 8, 2010 at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 380 Bluemound Road (four blocks south of Interstate 94 at the corner of highways J and JJ). Internment will be at Prairie Home Cemetery.

Special thanks and appreciation to Frank’s caregivers, Andrew (Shanell) Fleischmann, Patrick Fleischmann, Kory (Deanna) Fleischmann, Jaime Best and Steve Findley; they share so much of their time with him.

Because of Frank’s love of cats, the family wishes that all donations go to the Humane Animal Welfare Society of Waukesha County.
