Carl J.‘Jim’ Ohrstrom
June 6, 1921 – Jan. 19, 2010
Carl J. "Jim" Ohrstrom, 88, died Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2010, at the
Masonic Health Care Center in Dousman. He was born June 6, 1921, to Carl
and Elsie (nee Soukup) Ohrstrom Sr.
Jim was a 1937 graduate of Prentice High School and proudly served his
country in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1945. Carl worked at the Waukesha
Foundry for 40 years, retiring in 1985. He enjoyed camping, snowmobiling,
working on cars and small engines. He will be sadly missed by his
daughter, Marilyn (Dennis) Michaelis of Genesee; grandchildren, Tracy
(Jim) Smukowski of Oconomowoc and Brad (Jenny) Michaelis of Genesee; and
great-grandchildren, Cody, Brady, Ally and Abby Michaelis. He is further
survived by his brother, William (Betty) Ohrstrom of Georgia;
brother-in-law, Paul Sasso of Arizona; and stepsister, Karen (Dennis)
Dingeldine of Mukwonago.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife,
Delores, on Jan. 7, 2007, and his sister, Avril Sasso.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. memorial service
Saturday, Jan. 23, at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave.,
Waukesha. Interment with full military honors will take place following
the service at Prairie Home Cemetery.
The family would like to thank all of the staff at the Masonic Health and
Rehab Center and the nurses from Seasons Hospice.
