Edward A. Brust, age 63, of Oconomowoc (formerly North Prairie) passed away Thursday, Jan. 21, 2010, at his residence surrounded by the love of his family.

Edward was born May, 19, 1946, in Waukesha, the son of Edward and Amelia Brust. He married Rita Dallman on Dec. 13, 1969, in Rubicon and was a longtime resident of North Prairie. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in North Prairie and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, his dog Abby, camping, watching westerns and working on cars.

He will be sadly missed by his wife of 40 years, Rita; children, Pauline (Allan) Pierce, Nicole (Boyd) Nowicki, Melissa (Brett) Deharde and Eddie Brust; grandchildren, Nathan and Courtney Pierce, Samantha, Kayla, Ali and Riley Nowicki, and Dominic and Austin Deharde; and a sister, Suzanne Erke. Edward is further survived by other relatives and many friends.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service Saturday, Jan. 23, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 312 N. Main St., North Prairie, with the Rev. Brady Finnern officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Waukesha.
