Rose T. Rich of Waukesha died Thursday, Jan. 21, 2010, at Franciscan Woods at the age of 89. Rose was born May 19, 1920, the daughter of Nick and Jemma DePersio. She enjoyed cooking, dancing, collecting Santas and listening to the Lawrence Welk show. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Rose will be remembered for the loving way she put others first.

Rose will be dearly missed by her daughters, Carol (Alan) Sanford and Diane Schmitt; son, Louis (Lisa) Rich; grandchildren, Chris LeCaptain, Sandy Schmitt, Jonathan (Amanda) Rigby, Sarah (Dustin) Sanford-Smith, Emily Rich and Nicholas Rich; great-grandchildren, Logan, Brittaney, Luke, Emma, Louie, Mason and Miah; and friend, Tom LeCaptain. Rose is further survived by many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis; parents; brother, Anthony; and sisters, Mary and Jeannie.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. memorial Mass on Thursday, Jan. 28, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 225 S. Hartwell, Ave., Waukesha, WI 53186. Interment will immediately follow the Mass at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Waukesha.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or to St. Mary’s Catholic Church (see address above).
