Edwin F. Wiedeman
Jan. 27, 1926 – July 10, 2010
Edwin F. Wiedeman of Appleton, a former resident of Waukesha, passed away
Saturday, July 10, 2010, at Manor Care in Appleton. He was 84.
Edwin was born in Brookfield on Jan. 27, 1926. He attended local schools
and proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Edwin was
stationed in Central Europe and was awarded various medals and decorations
before his honorable discharge in 1946. He was married to Virginia A.
(Stair) in Mukwonago in 1950 and was employed as a parts distributor for a
manufacturer of heavy equipment. He enjoyed traveling and had lived in
Arizona and North Carolina, and loved to dance. Edwin also enjoyed
collecting model cars and working around the house and yard.
He is survived by his special friend of more than 18 years, Thelma
"Terry" Tyrrell of Appleton; his sons, Edwin Wiedeman of
Waukesha, Bobby (Rosie) Wiedeman of Waukesha, Doug Wiedeman of West Bend
and Rodney (Diane) Wiedeman of California; and his daughters, Nancy (Roy)
Nelson of Waterford and Cheryl Gallion of Freemont, Calif. He will also be
remembered by his 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He also
leaves his brother, Dick (Pat) Wiedeman of Brookfield, and many other
relatives and friends.
Edwin was preceded in death by his brother, Roy; sisters, Mabel, Ollie and
Vivian; and his wife, Virginia.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the noon funeral service
Wednesday, July 14, at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237
N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. The Rev. Jim Carlson will be officiating.
Entombment with full military honors will follow in Pinelawn Cemetery,
10700 W. Capitol Drive, Wauwatosa, WI 53222.
