Eva Woodin of Waukesha died Sunday, July 18, 2010, at St. Anne’s Salvatorian in Milwaukee at the age of 93. She was born Dec. 14, 1916, in Urey, Pa., the daughter of Wasyl and Anastazija (Pohlid) Lazeration.

On Dec. 22, 1943, Eva was united in marriage to Phillip Woodin; he preceded her in death in 2007. She proudly served her country in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Waukesha for 53 years and a member of the Lady Elks.

Eva will be deeply missed by her children, Charles (Marli) Woodin of Big Bend and Sharon (Ronald) Kundinger of Brown Deer; grandchildren, Perry (Laura Welles) Woodin of New York, Emily McDonald of Waukesha, Kevin (Rachel) Kundinger of Arizona and Amy Kundinger of Brown Deer; great-grandchild, Haley McDonald; brother, George (Betty) Lazeration of Pennsylvania; and sister, Irene Kraynak of Ohio. She is further survived by her special nephew, Bill (Lois) Lazeration of Mauston, and numerous other nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by 12 brothers and sisters and her parents.

A memorial service for Eva is being planned for August, followed by graveside services with full military honors to take place at Prairie Home Cemetery, Waukesha.
