Mary Apolinar Wells

Mary
Apolinar Wells died Monday, July 19, 2010, in Waukesha with her husband
and son at her side. Mary was born Nov. 20, 1930, in Chicago, to Sylvestre
and Maria Angulo Apolinar.
She attended the Baptist Missionary Training School in Chicago and
following that, worked in Brooklyn, N.Y., Reno, Nev., and Cordova, Alaska.
She also did graduate work at Aurora College in Chicago. In 1965, she was
married to the Rev. Dr. William L. Wells.
To them, two sons were born, Bill Jr. (Kay) of Waukesha and Mark (Pamela)
of North Attleborough, Ma. She is also survived by her stepson, Jeffrey of
Dayton, Nev.; four grandchildren, Andrew and Emily of Waukesha and
Samantha and Jenny of North Attleborough; her sister, Sylvia; and many
nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Emmanuel and
Peter; and her sisters, Helen, Mercedes and Vera.
Mary lived for her family and particularly for her grandchildren. To say
she was loving and kind is an understatement. She will be greatly missed.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 24, at St.
Matthias Episcopal Church, 111 E. Main St., Waukesha.
