Clayton F. Grant Sr.

Clayton F. Grant Sr.  of Milwaukee, retired to Shawano, entered God’s kingdom Friday, July 16, 2010, at Froedtert Memorial Hospital in Wauwatosa. He was 64. 

Clayton was born in Red Springs on Oct. 1, 1945, the son of Clinton Sr. and Della (nee Murphy) Grant. On Feb. 27, 1965, he married Kathleen Gozdziewski in Milwaukee. Clayton was a proud Teamster truck driver for more than 30 years. He loved to go to the Iola Car Show once a year with his brothers. Clayton was a dedicated husband and son, loving father, grandfather and brother, and a friend to all.

Survivors include his wife, Kathleen; his children, Jeffery Sr. (Maria), Lisa (Darrin) Haehle, Mark and Clayton Jr. (Penny); his mother, Della; grandchildren, Jeffery Jr. and Amber Grant, Melissa and Rebecca Haehle, and Kayla, Dylan and Drew Grant; and his brothers and sisters, Fred (Charlene), Jennie (Fred) Gallert, Randy (Billie Jean), Ray (Alice), Clinton Jr. (Maria) and Debbie. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Clinton Sr.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 20, at the Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home, 315 Main St. (Highway ES), Mukwonago. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 21, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are appreciated.
