Steve Reuss, formerly of Waukesha, passed away at his home Sunday, June 27, 2010, in Oakland, Calif.

He was a 1966 graduate of Waukesha South High School, attended the University of Wisconsin and later got a degree from University of San Francisco. Steve worked for Zerox and was a volunteer for neighborhood and community projects. He earned a commendation from the City of Oakland as a District 4 Local Hero.

Steve is survived by his mother, Norma Jean Reuss; sister, Rebecca Krueger; brother-in-law, Kerry Krueger; and nieces, cousins and relatives.

Steve was preceded in death by his father, Emery Reuss (former director of the Waukesha County Home).

Private services will be held today, July 27, in Blue Island, Ill.
