Rosaline T. Bradee (Rutzinski)
June 9, 1923 – July 26, 2010
Rosaline T. Bradee (Rutzinski), formerly of Waukesha, died peacefully in
her sleep Monday, July 26, 2010, at Good Samaritan Society Nursing home in
Waconia, Minn., at the age of 87. She was born June 9, 1923, in Waukesha,
the daughter of Victor and Elsie Rutzinski (nee Wehren).
Rosaline attended St. Joseph’s Catholic Grade School and graduated from
Waukesha High School. On May 11, 1946, she married the love of her life,
George E. Bradee, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Waukesha and
enjoyed their marriage for 46 years. She worked several years as a
secretary at Waukesha Motors and at several other secretarial positions in
Milwaukee, before becoming a dedicated housewife and proving herself a
gifted homemaker.
Enthusiastic dancers, Rosaline and George loved to dance to the Big Band
sounds of the ’40s and continued to go dancing with their friends
throughout their married years. Rosaline loved to cook and sew, and
particularly enjoyed traveling with her husband George to many Western
destinations including Estes Park, Colo., and more locally to Copper
Harbor, Mich.
Rosaline is survived by her son, Robert; daughter, Carol (Alswede); son,
David; and grandchildren, Ryan, Ann, Marilyn and Martha Alswede and
Allison Bradee. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews.
Rosaline was preceded in death by her brother, Roman; her husband, George;
and parents, Victor and Elsie.
A memorial gathering will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 225 S.
Hartwell Ave., Waukesha, where Rosaline was a charter member. The memorial
service will begin at 10 a.m. with a funeral Mass following at 11 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the American Diabetes
Association.
