Norman E. Schwanz
March 3, 1925 – July 27, 2010
Norman E. Schwanz of Waukesha passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2010, at his
home surrounded by family. He was 85 years old.
Norman was born in Theinsville on March 3, 1925, a son of the late Herman
and Martha (Voigt) Schwanz. He was married to Pearl (Blinten) on Sept. 24,
1949, and together they raised eight children. Norman worked as a dairy
farmer for 15 years and later went to work for Guthrie Lyon Pump Sales and
Engineering. He retired from Husco Hydraulic Equipment after 25 years.
Norman was a longtime member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church and
was also a member of the Milwaukee Accordion Club. He also enjoyed fishing
and making wine.
Norman is survived by his beloved wife of more than 60 years, Pearl of
Waukesha; his children, Marilyn (Art) Olson of Waukesha, Roger (Michelle)
Schwanz of Fond Du Lac, David (Nancy) Schwanz of Eagle, Loreen (Jeff) Pace
of Sussex, Richard (Debbie) Schwanz of Waukesha, Carol (Tim) O’Leary of
Butler, Joan Schultz of Waukesha and Kurt Schwanz of Milwaukee;
grandchildren, Lori Gabay, Carrie Olson, Diane and Brian Ward, Caitlin and
Rachel Schwanz, Sondra and Kyle Pace, Lauren and Stephen Schwanz, Sarah O’Leary
and Samantha and Julia Schultz; as well as three great-grandchildren. He
also leaves many cousins, extended family and friends.
Visitation for Norman will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, July 30,
at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd.,
Waukesha. A second visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. until the 12:30
p.m. funeral service Saturday, July 31, at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran
Church, 1052 Whiterock Ave., Waukesha, WI 53186. The Rev. Larry Gates will
be officiating. Entombment will follow in Prairie Home Cemetery on Prairie
Avenue in Waukesha.
