WAUKESHA
Agnes O. Randle
Nov. 2, 1919 – July 28, 2010
Agnes O. Randle, a longtime Waukesha
resident and wife of the late William S. Randle, died Wednesday, July 28,
2010, at Oak Hill Terrace at the age of 90. She was born in Chicago on
Nov. 2, 1919, to Lars and JoAnne Olsen.
In her earlier years, Agnes was employed as a beautician at Irene’s
Beauty Shop. From 1943 until 1945 she proudly served in the U.S. Navy
during World War II as a W.A.V.E. On May 22, 1949, she married William
"Bill" S. Randle, together they owned and operated Randle
Funeral Home in Waukesha, later becoming Randle-Dable Funeral Home. Agnes
enjoyed working outdoors, maintaining the lawn and keeping busy with
projects. In their retirement, Agnes and Bill enjoyed an Alaskan cruise
with Agnes’ sister Elsie, they looked forward to Friday night fish
fries, shopping at Sentry-Fox Run and enjoyed their home on Cliff Alex
Court, where Agnes loved walking around David’s Park. In the year 2000,
Agnes moved to Oak Hill Terrace, where she enjoyed taking part in many
activities, including bingo, outings and exercise class. The friendships
that Agnes made at Oak Hill over the past 10 years were a blessing to her.
She will be remembered for her infectious giggle, pleasant personality and
her love for desserts.
She is survived by her sisters-in-law, Kathleen Olsen of Milwaukee and
Betty Greer of Delaware; nieces and nephews; and all her friends at Oak
Hill Terrace.
Agnes was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill"
Randle, on Dec. 16, 1999; her sisters, Elsie Olsen and Dorothy Regan;
brother, Carl Olsen; and half-brother, Eugene Caldwell.
