Doris Caroline (nee Yatzeck) Marose, a lifelong resident of Waukesha, had her soul taken home by the Lord on Sunday, May 30, 2010, at Linden Grove Health Care Center at the age of 85 years.

She was born March 31, 1925, the daughter of Godfrey and Minnie (Wagner) Yatzeck. Doris was a 1943 graduate of Waukesha High School and on Oct. 9, 1948, she married Harold Marose in Waukesha. She worked for the city of Waukesha in the comptroller’s office for more than 20 years. Doris was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Waukesha, where she was a member of the East Side Circle and of the OWLS.

Doris will be sadly missed by her loving husband, Harold of Waukesha; her sons, Paul (Kay) Marose of Juneau and John (Sue) of Waukesha; and daughter, Donna of Sullivan. She is further survived by her brother-in-law, Frank Gabrysiak of Waukesha; sisters-in-law, Carol Herr of Greendale and Mary Lou Marose of Waukesha; her grandchildren, Nicole, Jackie and Jim, and many nieces and nephews. Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Godfrey and Minnie, and siblings Walter, Elmer, Frances and Jay and brothers-in-law Ralph Herr and Frank Marose. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to LindenCourt and LindenGrove for the many years of loving care.

The funeral service for Doris will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 3, 2010, at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 700 Beechwood Ave., Waukesha, with the Rev. Arthur Koepsell officiating. The visitation will be held at church from 5 p.m. Thursday until the time of service. Private interment will be held at Prairie Home Cemetery in Waukesha. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church (see address above).
