Ellen ‘Pat’ Ward

Ellen "Pat" Ward of Waukesha died Tuesday, June 22, 2010, at Angels-Grace Hospice in Oconomowoc at the age of 88. She was born Feb. 13, 1922, in Fordville, N.D., the daughter of George and Eleanor (nee Miller) Olson.

On Dec. 9, 1942, she married Ralph E. Ward. He preceded her in death in October 2000. Mrs. Ward was a member of St. William Catholic Church where she belonged to the Christian Women.

During World War II, she was an active civil servant working in support of farmers in the ASPC office. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, needlepoint and her beloved cats, Dean and Tigger.

She will be missed by her children, John Ward of Waukesha and Harriet Pendleton of Waukesha; grandson, Dale Pendleton; great-granddaughters, Autumn Pendleton and Stephanie Brimmer.

She is also survived by her brothers, George (Katherine) Olson and Martin (Susie) Olson; sister, Mary Griffith; other relatives and many friends.

The funeral service will be celebrated at 4 p.m. Monday, June 28, at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. Visitation will continue from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday. Interment will be held privately at Prairie Home Cemetery.
