James A.‘Tex’ Schoolcraft

James A. "Tex" Schoolcraft of Mukwonago passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 3, 2010, in Joplin, Mo. He was 70 years old.
Jim was born in Gracemont, Okla., on Jan. 27, 1940, the son of John and Ida (nee Bogle) Schoolcraft.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving at the Nike Missile site in Waukesha. On Sept. 5, 1959, he married Carol J. Ruben in Waukesha. Jim was a retiree of Payne & Dolan in Waukesha, a former town of Mukwonago supervisor and an avid bowler, having bowled a 300 game.
He was the beloved husband for 50 years of Carol; loving father of Carol (Thom) Rusch, James R. "Rusty" (Kristine) and Holly (Tom) Watts; cherished grandpa of Megan, Ben, Erin, Liz, Brad and Jen; dear brother of Ace (Bonnie), Victor, Isaac (Sandy), Lawrence (Mary), Valena, John (Marti), Butch and Sissy (Richard); fond son-in-law of Edith Palmer and brother-in-law of Gwen (Gene) Krueger, DonE (Judy) Ruben, Susan (Ray) Banovez, Gail (Ev) Zellmer and Roland (Rosie) Palmer. He is further survived by his Blue Bay breakfast friends, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. until the time of the 7 p.m. funeral service Sunday, March 7, at the Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home, 315 Main St., (Highway ES), Mukwonago. The Rev. Gene Krueger will officiate. Cremation will follow.
