Helen K. Duke

Helen K. Duke died Thursday, March 4, 2010, at the Virginia Health and Rehabilitation Center at the age of 86. She was born Jan. 7, 1924, in Preston, Ga. to Joseph and Laura (nee Addy) Herlovich. Helen was a wonderful southern belle living in Georgia most of her life. She moved to New Berlin in 2005 to be near her daughter and family.

She will be sadly missed by her son, Stephen Edmond (Anne) Duke, of Athens, Ga.; daughter, Joanna (Robert) Kahler of New Berlin; grandchildren John Gilbert Duke of Athens, Ga.; Melanie Kathryn Kloth of New Berlin; and Robert (Amanda) Kahler of Waukesha. She was the very proud great-grandmother of Christian Michael Kloth, Cassia Jordan Kloth, Corinna Bethany Kloth, Renata Christina Kloth, Katlyn Louise Kahler, Robert Phillip Kahler and Jonathan James Kahler. She is further survived by her dear sister, Mary Worthington of Lumpkin, Ga.; two brothers, William Herlovich of Fitzgerald, Ga., and Bobby Herlovich of Punta Gorda, Fla. Other relatives and friends also survive.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John G. Duke.
