Norene M. Schraufnagel
Norene M. Schraufnagel (nee Klix) died unexpectedly at home Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at age 75, joining her loving husband of 52 years, Floyd.
She was the loving mom of Deborah (Al) Rogers, Michael (Kathy) Schraufnagel, Susan (William) Mertz and Linda (Douglas) Samuel; proud Grandma Rene to 10 grandsons, one granddaughter-in-law, three granddaughters, one grandson-in-law, one grandson-in-law to-be, three step grandsons, four great-step grandsons, two great-grandsons, one great-granddaughter and one great-grandchild on the way; and the sister of Sally Lilly and Dawn Bednarek. She is also loved by other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, March 19, the anniversary of Floyd’s heart transplant, at Krause Funeral Home, 12401 W. National Ave., with a remembrance service at 7:30 p.m. Guests are invited to share a memory. Visitation continues from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday, March 20, at St. Elizabeth Anne Seton (127th Street and Howard Avenue), with a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. Entombment will be at St. Joseph’s in Waukesha.
If desired, memorials can be made to the American Heart Association.
Norene was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She worked as a pharmacy tech at Elmbrook Hospital for 10 years.
